Getting started
Setting up a workspace and bringing your organisation onto the platform.
Yes. Free supports up to 2 people and includes the core everyday workspace: projects and jobs, tasks, workplans and work schedules, people, basic finance, impact indicators, risks and issues, documents, and organisation-at-a-glance information. It has no time limit.
No. Every new workspace starts with a 14-day Growth trial and no card is required.
If you do not choose a paid plan, the workspace continues on Free. Nothing is deleted.
No. Eduthropy does not delete your organisational records because your plan changes. Higher-tier records can remain available to read, while creating or editing them may require the relevant plan.
Yes. Relevant higher-tier capabilities stay discoverable in the workspace, and upgrading restores access to everything included in that plan.
Creating a workspace, adding your people and recording a first budget can be done in an afternoon. You choose your organisation type during onboarding, which sets the terminology and the modules you see, so you are not shown anything that does not apply to you.
No. Start with one area, usually finance or delivery, and add the rest as you go. Budgets and transactions can be imported later from a Xero, QuickBooks or spreadsheet export, with column mapping and a preview before anything is written.
Plans & billing
How plans, people and billing work. Full detail is on the pricing page.
Free is $0 for up to 2 people and 1 GB. Starter is $15 per month or $150 per year, with 5 included people and 5 GB. Growth is $39 per month or $390 per year, with 15 included people and 25 GB. Scale is $79 per month or $790 per year, with 30 included people and 100 GB. Annual is 12 months for the price of 10.
Not exactly. Each plan has one organisation-level price and includes a set number of people. The per-person figures shown on the pricing page are equivalents for comparison, not the billing model.
Beyond the included people you add individuals at the plan's per-person rate: $4 per person per month on Starter, $3 on Growth, $2 on Scale, or ten times that for a year. Paid plans currently do not impose a technical maximum. Only active members count.
Plan choice depends on capability, not only team size. Growth adds Eduthropy Intelligence, Portfolios, Performance, Captured snapshots, Scenarios and Growth-level integrations such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Yes. Valid Stripe promotion codes can be applied securely during Checkout. A discount changes the billed amount only, not your plan entitlements, included people, storage or trial behaviour.
Eduthropy supports Stripe promotion codes. Any public nonprofit or partner discount programme will be announced separately if introduced.
Funding & finance
How Eduthropy records money, funding and the links between them.
No. Finance information remains separated by currency. Eduthropy does not combine different currencies into one organisation total or silently apply exchange rates.
Budgets with categories and departments, transactions posted against budget lines, expense requests with approval, payroll runs with payslips, invoices and products for trading income, and donations and grants on the fundraising side. Each amount stays in the currency it was recorded in.
No. Organisations can be supported by donations, trading income, grants, their own contributions or a mix.
Funding Trace shows recorded funding relationships such as funder to grant to allocation to programme or project. It reflects the relationships your organisation records and does not infer funding attribution.
Yes, on Starter and above where relevant to the organisation type. Eduthropy does not automatically attribute expenditure to a funder; the links are the ones you record.
No. It is a file import and export. Bring in a Xero, QuickBooks or spreadsheet export with a preview, and export a period back out. There is no live two-way accounting sync.
Reporting & evidence
How reports are built and what stays fixed once they are produced.
Yes. Starter and above include the formal reporting workflow. Reports are built from recorded organisational data and the evidence attached to it. Free does not include the reporting module.
No. Eduthropy calculates the underlying facts. On Growth and Scale, AI can draft or explain the narrative around those facts.
No. Each report version freezes its figures and evidence at the moment it was generated, and that version does not change. If the underlying data changes later, you regenerate to create a new version with the current evidence — the earlier version stays exactly as it was.
Yes. Reports draw on the records already in your workspace — impact indicators, transactions, delivery updates and the documents attached to projects and indicators.
Growth and Scale. Starter includes the deterministic reporting lifecycle; the AI-assisted narrative sits on top of the calculated figures and is checked before it becomes part of a report.

No. Deterministic Eduthropy calculations produce the figures and states. AI is used for grounded explanation, not calculation, attribution or prediction.
No. Ask Eduthropy is bounded by the organisation's recorded data, the contexts available to it and the product's rules. It answers from what your workspace holds, with the evidence it used.
Yes. Growth and Scale support Eduthropy-managed AI or a configured bring-your-own OpenAI or Anthropic provider where available. Usage on your own key is billed to you by that provider.
Yes, on plans where AI capabilities are available you can turn AI off and keep the deterministic calculations.
Data, permissions & security
How access is controlled and what happens to your data as plans change.
Records are retained. Higher-tier records may become read-only until the relevant plan is restored. Nothing is deleted because of a plan change.
Standard permissions — owner, admin, manager and member — apply across all plans. Granular per-person permission overrides are Scale only.
Yes, on Starter and above. Your logo and accent apply across the workspace and to what you send out.
Your stored branding is retained but no longer applied. Upgrading restores it.
Yes. Every record carries an organisation identifier and access is enforced in the database with row-level security, so a query only ever returns rows from a workspace you belong to.
Encrypted and scoped to your workspace. They are not exposed to the browser and are only used server-side for an action you triggered. More detail is on the trust and security page.
Yes. Finance data exports to Xero, QuickBooks or CSV, and documents and generated PDFs can be downloaded at any time.
